An overview of NEM-Watch 8

Thank you for your interest in this exciting new version of NEM-Watch.

We spent most of 2008 (and the early weeks of 2009) putting v8 together for your enjoyment.   We're delighted to note that v8 is ready for you now - see the instructions below for how you can upgrade

What's new with NEM-Watch v8?

NEM-Watch has undergone a massive facelift, and includes a range of new data, and new functionality.

We've done all of this as we've found that the market has matured over the course of the last few years (it's now 10 years old!) and so we needed to complete this significant upgrade to ensure that NEM-Watch provided an even clearer view of the NEM to clients who had a better understanding of the NEM than was the case 5 years ago.

The enhancements we've made are many, and varied - however we have tried to group them in an understandable framework here.

How to upgrade from v7 to v8

Please follow these steps sequentially to be up and running with NEM-Watch 8 in the shortest possible time, with the minimum of fuss:

STEP 1)  Do you want to keep your existing Local Alarm settings?

Because of the removal of the Snowy region, old NEM-Watch alarms will no longer work.

The installer for NEM-Watch v8 will erase your old alarms when it is run.  We will happily convert your old alarms for you if you call us (+61 7 3368 4064) before going any further...

STEP 2)  Download the v8 installer

The installation file for the current release of NEM-Watch v8 is located on the "Downloads" page.

Please save the file to a local drive for future reference.

STEP 3)  De-activate your existing licence

You can de-activate NEM-Watch either:
(a)  Under the "Options" button of NEM-Watch; or
(b)  Under "My Licences" at the secure site (www.global-roam.com/secure) -in this case, make sure you select the right licence to deactivate!

STEP 4)  Uninstall v7

You can do this either:
(a)  Under Add/Remove Programs; or
(b)  At (Start > Programs > global-roam > NEM-Watch v7 > Uninstall NEM-Watch v7)

STEP 5)  Install v8

Double-click the file you saved at STEP 2 (above) and follow the prompts...

STEP 6)  Activate v8

Double-click the desktop icon "NEM-Watch 8" and follow the prompts...

STEP 7)  Migrate your "SMS Alarms"

For our NEM-Watch Gold users, you have been upgraded to NEM-Watch Platinum.  Please call us on 1300 762 637 when you start using your Platinum licence and we will migrate your SMS alarms for you.

STEP 8)  Enjoy!
