Market Notices

In the course of operating the market, NEMMCO will often release "Market Notices" to explain certain events or issues in the NEM. When these are released, they will be automatically updated by NEM-Watch. You may find the answers to some of your questions about recent events in the market in these Market Notices.

Simply:
1. Click the "Market Notices" header to slide the window up from the bottom of the screen.
2. Browse the Market Notice Descriptions (the twenty most recent will be shown).
3. Double click the notice of interest and the full text will be loaded into Notepad (direct from NEMMCO over the internet).

Note that NEMMCO is not required to explain price spikes when they occur (indeed, NEMMCO's job is not to keep prices low - but instead to ensure the market/system is secure and stable). However you may find information discussed in a market notice which relates to the cause for price spikes.

Remember that you can also set up Local Alarms to let you know when a new notice arrives, or when a new notice arrives containing certain keywords (eg LOR). NEM-Watch (Silver and Gold Models) will now automatically attach the full text of the triggering Market Notice to an email alarm for you.
